Too Cute.

Renae's favourite expressions lately are  
Oh my DEAR! (said when something is shocking...like watching Micah dump his food on the floor.)
and  
Awww! Dat's TOO cute! (said when something is...well...too cute.)

I don't know where she gets them, as no one around here says them except for her. This morning as we were driving out to the school bus yard, she saw some ducks swimming on a pond. "Yook, Mom! Ducks! Awww! The ducks are too cute, Mom! Awww!" The funniest part is that she says them with such an earnest, tender tone of voice. Cracks me up.

Micah is currently sporting a mohawk. He got his first haircut (buzzed!) to encourage more hairs to grow in the future. His father convinced me to let Micah have a little mohawk for a day...A DAY. Darren is currently trying to convince me to let him leave it for a week before we shave it all off. As you can tell, Darren is currently living vicariously through his son.

Nothing much else that is special and noteworthy has been happening.

Oh wait! Brett and Heather got married! And, as is to be expected, no one has really heard from them since. We're preeetty sure they're still alive. Maybe.

We had our Spring Break last week (no school bus driving!) so I got to remember what it's like to have the whole day, all to ourselves. Our basement got organized, the dishes and laundry stayed washed, Darren got rides to school and even had ready-made lunches. Good thing it was only a week. We all started missing it a little too much...

This weekend, on the other hand, will be full of friends and fun. Friday we get to see these guys (from Whitehorse!), Saturday we get a visit from Auntie Julie while Darren takes his Young Men on a temple trip...then the Jonesons from Edmonton on Sunday! Oh, plus everyone else for Easter Dinner. Woohoo! Seriously, awesome.
