Our weekend consisted of a whirlwind trip to Saskatoon.
We went out for a wedding and to make good on a promise to take family photos for friends.
What a strange weekend it was.
It was crazy, bizarre, unexpected, silly. Seemed nothing worked out as planned.
It was long hours in a borrowed car (thanks again, Parents!), reuniting hugs, and little girls holding hands. It was full campgrounds and a cheap hotel room, keeping promises and waiting,
waiting,
waiting.
It was all a surprise, and nothing like we expected...but fun! We're glad we got to at least see that little city again, even if we didn't get to be there for long.
At very least, we had a great little road-trip as a family. We enjoyed each other's company and took our time on the road back...taking frequent breaks to stretch our legs and take funny pictures of each other and weird graffiti. AND a self-timered family photo or two. Maybe someday we'll get a real family photo, where someone else is holding the camera and getting our kids' attention.
Maaaaaybe? Ha.
