Christmassy Things.

As promised: a post full of way too many pictures of these kids. At Christmas-time. Woohoo!

These first few are of their fancy new Christmas clothes that they wore to church the Sunday before Christmas. Fun fact: these were taken in the 5 minutes before church STARTED...which means we were late...because we were taking pictures. How's that for a terrible excuse? Ha.

Despite all efforts to get a great everyone-posing-perfectly picture of all three of them...these next two were the best we got. After MULTIPLE attempts. Oh well...we'll take what we can get!
Micah's face in the next one? I don't even...I just...I don't know.

Christmas Eve we had my family over for Chinese food and our Christmas Eve program. This included acting out the Nativity. I present: Mary and Joseph! Bet you didn't know Mary was wearing hot pink leopard print at the time...

Growing up, we always got to open one present on Christmas Eve. We did Christmas jammies this year. Renae's Happy Present Face!

The Jammie'd Babies! Again with the Micah Face...?

This was the first Christmas that we did at home as our own little family! We loved it. We love spending it with extended family, too; there just seemed to be something extra-special about being together in our home.

And this picture pretty much sums up Bekah's Christmas experience this year:
Forget the present. EAT ALL THE PAPER.

Micah actually had no idea who Iron Man was before receiving this costume...but he was thrilled about the new suit and mask nonetheless.
Really, he's just pumped to have more options than princess dresses and animal outfits to dress-up in...

Around lunch time on Christmas Day, we headed down to spend a couple days with the Roberts' side of the family. These are all of the cousins! I can't even handle all the cute in this picture.
I'm biased, sure, but...LOOK at it all!!!
Also. This is eight kids 4 and under. They are crazy together...crazy FUN.

Grandma Roberts had shirts and onesies made up for everyone that said "Somebody in Texas loves me!"
Darren's brother---the kids' Uncle Justin---is currently on a mission in Texas. We got to talk to him for a few minutes that day and show off the nieces and nephews in their spiffy shirts.
So awesome.

Auntie Nysha baby-hoarding. Haha!

That smile!

Bekah and her cousin were matchie-matchie that day.

Rebekah was watched over very well by Addie, little mama.

A very serious snack-time discussion:

Part of our trip included a family get-together lunch. It's always a treat to see everyone!

Funny story: Darren and I were pushing Micah back and forth to each other across the gym floor while he sat on this airplane toy. Which means he was going FAST to make it all the way across the gym. So fun! Until I picked up Renae and had my arms full...which Darren didn't realize...and Micah went flying past me and straight into those wooden doors under the stage.
So funny! BUT SO SAD! But still a little funny.
Poor Micah. He sustained a sore ear lobe, but nothing more serious.

Child labour at its finest! Renae loved being able to mop with the BIG mop, and Andrew was her spot-spotter and mop-mentor.

AND THEN! We went to my family's house to hang out with the Lonsdale side of the family!

And there would be pictures of that, too, except that after only one day of hanging out, Micah came down suddenly with Croup, and Renae and Rebekah with wicked chest colds...so we high-tailed it out of there as fast as we could. We were not taking ANY chances with Jocelyn's weakened immune system.

SO....we ended up cooped up and housebound for the whole week, calling the family to ask what they were doing without us, and with Darren and I taking turns leaving the house to go do fun things with them. Haha! Oh well.

On New Year's Eve, we stayed up watching TV shows, and I ended up falling asleep 15minutes before midnight. So, ya. Par-TAY!

Happy New Year! Hope 2014 is the best yet!
