No Joke.
I even got to drive it FOR REAL around Calgary today.
It's huge.
...And a little bit of fun.
Being a school bus driver is a job I never thought I would ever have. Just never on the radar, really.
But when your hubby's in school, you gotta do whatchya gotta do. And since there are ZERO teaching jobs in Alberta right now, what I gotta do is the next best thing (besides tutoring...which I do in the evenings): Drive a school bus.
Plus: they let you take your kids on the bus with you. Sweet deal: decent pay, no childcare costs, and....c'mon...I get to drive a big yellow school bus.
Awesome.

That's awesome, Laura!!! I felt the same way when I took my class 1 test to drive an 18 wheeler. It's kind of nice sitting a little higher than everyone else, eh? How fun!!! Bet your kids will love it!!!!!
Laura- you are seriously my idol! That's awesome! I come from a long line of bus drivers. My Gram drove bus for most of her life, and both my mom and dad drove bus during all my school years, and now my Dad is back behind the wheel! How crazy is it driving one of those beasts in Calgary!?! Eeek! Have fun!
