The past two weeks have been
crazy. But awesome. Crazy awesome.
The past two weekends, we've whipped out to Calgary...just for the weekend. We've left on Thursday afternoon, made the 6-7 hr drive there, stayed til Sunday afternoon and then made the drive back. Don't ask us to drive anywhere again too soon. Give us at least a week. Gaaah.
We were out in Calgary so Darren could shoot a couple hockey tournaments for the company he'll be working for next year. Over both weekends, he spent a total of ~52 hours shooting people's kids (ha.) whilst they skated around ice rinks. That's
thousands of pictures. He takes a ton, then the parents get to pick from a plethora of shots of their future NHL star...then buy a print out, poster, etc. It was a good opportunity for him to see what it'll be like. Minus the time he spent missing us :) , he loved it.
Between weekends, Renae stayed in Calgary getting spoiled by two grandparents, two aunties, and two uncles. I babysat, and Darren went to school and did the paper route. Micah did what he does best: round out his cheeks with frequent meals, and pretend to crawl while high-centered on his yummy belly.
While out in Calgary, we got to hang out, eat good food, laugh (always an essential ingredient to any Lonsdale Family gathering), watch Krista's ringette game where they kicked butt, finally meet baby Peter and witness his blessing, and tag along out to Canmore with the family for a night or two. Way too much fun.
I
may have gone overboard with the photos. Lesson learned: don't add photos separately from the text...add at the same time so the time crunch makes me pickier. Oh well. At least my camera wasn't working the first weekend, so you only have to skip through one weekend's worth of pic-chas. :)
