Bits and Pieces

-Just had Darren's sister and her family out for a visit. We're so glad they could make it! Had a blast playing with babies, canning peaches (Soo not as complicated as I used to think it was as a kid!), playing games, and just hanging out enjoying each other's company. Renae had lots to tell her cousin Benson, as evidenced by how she would walk up to him, put her nose about a centimetre away from his, and jabber endlessly about something only the babies could understand. Oh, and her Uncle Max. Apparently he speaks baby jabber, too. We enjoyed them all! Love those Holsts.

-I got a new bike! Actually, Darren and I both got new bikes. But mine's cuter. ;) Darren's is for getting to and from school in a jiffy. Mine's just for being awesome. Darren's was expeeeeensive (well, not really...only in proportion to all the dough we wish we were swimming in) and mine was TWENTY dollars off Kijiji. Yee-Haw!

-Cloth diapering: we're trying it out. We scored a bunch of unused ones for cheap off Kijiji (notice a trend here?) that were just Renae's size. She's my guinea pig so I can build up enough confidence to go for it with TWO bums in cloth diapers. So far, so good. It's just taken some commitment to get through the steep learning curve. Renae's bum is much bigger these days, but our garbages aren't nearly as full of disposables as they once were. =smiles.

-The countdown is on for Darren's first day back to school. He's even got shiny new binders to fill with all sorts of useful (we're hoping?) information. T-minus 13 days!

-The countdown is on for Baby Roberts #2! We're into the single digits for number of weeks left. I'm hoping that all the walking and beautiful morning air I enjoy on my newly acquired morning paper route will convince Little Bebe to come out sooner. None of these overdue shenanigans, baby!

-The end!

Baby number two sooo soon! How exciting for you guys. And you are brave for cloth diapers. Don't think I could ever even attempt!

I predict your babies will be potty trained much sooner than disposable diaper babies (Is that a real phrase?). who likes sitting around in wetness?

It's true, Auntie Dixie- they've found that cloth diapered kids train quite a bit sooner. Here are some stats and stuff to keep you motivated, Laura:
