Renae and I got to jet off to visit Family in Calgary last week.
Such a blast.
We miss them already. But it's nice to be back with our Darren again. We missed him, too.
Some highlights from the past week included:
-Renae barfing all over her Auntie Heather in the middle of church; a feat she repeated later that day on her Grandma Roberts. Poor Baby. Poor Relatives.
-Spending some much-needed time in the mountains hiking with the fam.
-Going shopping with the bro and sis...while Renae spent some quality pre-bedtime-time with her Grandpa Lonsdale
-Having lunch with Nana...Renae and I got her AAaaaAAAlll to ourselves.
-Visiting with Renae's "surrogate" Auntie Julie...and seeing her cute little classroom where she teaches. AND the butterflies her class is raising. So cool.
-Having a Potstickers feast with just four of us, and one giant bag of Potstickers. Oh yumm...
-Mom and I attacking the hideous brass on the fireplace with black spray paint. Success!
And some pictures to prove it. I made them teensy so I could fit more on without it looking like a photo-overload....Sooo click on them to see them bigger, if desired.
With GrammaRob...
Cousins with matchy soothers.
Derek, off to his grad.
Pre-hike lunch.
On the way up to the cave. Derek was honorary baby-pack-horse. He did a great job.
In the cave.
Family Photo #1.
Family Photo #2.
Ma n' Pa.
Renae conked out on the second hike. Good thing she's got a comfy uncle.
Hair fresh outta pigtails. And, I might add, posing for her Grandpa who took this picture. She seriously sat still like this until the picture was taken.
We may, or may not, over-photograph our child.
"Feeding" Hungry Uncle Derek.
Looking waaaay too grown up for my liking.
Hanging with Auntie Heather.
Renae and Maggie were not sure of each other. Both thought the other was way-scary.
And Renae sneaking seconds of dinner...
(Thanks to the Lonsdales for letting us come! And to the Roberts for making the trip up!)
