Guess what we're doing this summer.....
The WEST COAST TRAIL!!!!
Darren and I's plan is to complete this week-long backpacking trip sometime this summer.
And now we're accountable. Because it's on the blog.
The Internet knows about it...so it's gotta happen.
This is a bucket-list-type goal for me, so I am thrilled.
Like, ridiculously so.
Our preparation currently includes an old Miracle Whip jar collecting change, deals on a little bit more gear, an occasional trip to Value Village for synthetic fabrics to keep us warm and dry(ish), and exercise. Lots and lots of exercise.
We're looking forward to it. Not looking forward to being without our Renae for a week...but there are many backpacking adventures to come that will include that Little Pickle.
Come March 1st we can call to get our trail pass...and the definite date for our trip.
Once that happens...the countdown is ON.

that is awesome! I am so jealous. it will be so awesome. I did it 10 years ago and have wanted to do it again every summer since.
Okay, after re-reading my comment, I felt that it sounded kinda rude. I didn't mean that I didn't want to go there and see the sights. What I meant was the backpacking part. You know me -- not outdoorsy at all. And a little lazy to boot. Okay, a LOT lazy!
