Stealing The Parents.

We were a few lucky ducks this week:

Mom and Dad L came to visit!

It was more than great to have them around for a few days.

The time went way too fast.

We shopped for fabric for a few projects we wanted to tackle. Mom gave moi (Laura) the "Sewing 101" as we stitched our way through making hostess aprons.

Dad hung out with Renae, giving her the giggles with his funny faces and rounds of peek-a-boo.

Renae loved her present from her Grandma and Grandpa: a "Shrek-green" (quote: Dad) Bumbo seat, found on Calgary's Kijiji. She looks so big sitting up in it!

We all watched "Evan Almighty" for FHE.

Darren was thrilled that his paper route only took 40 min on Tuesday morning, thanks to the early morning help from Dad.

Darren and I were even more thrilled that we got sent out to a movie and ice cream on Tuesday night...all by ourselves.

Wednesday we breakfast-ed with the Cahoon clan, and basked that morning away in the joy of just hanging out with family.

Oh, how we love family.

We would have been a-okay if we got them for ten times as long and were sad for them to go.

But so glad that they were able to come out for those few fun days.
