And now for the update.

Our money-making schemes of late: Darren just started his paper route on Monday...or should I say paper routeS: he's got two. They take around an hour and a half right now and have to be done by 7:00am. 5:30 is reeeally early, but he gets up and does it anyways. I've continued babysitting a little 16-month-old girl a couple days a week or so. I teach a little bit of piano...and might teach some more here once January rolls around...depending on Darren's school schedule. And I'm working on getting a new business started: a grocery-shopping service. Yee-haw! We're definitely students on a student budget...but these little things make a difference. They also make our lives a little crazy...necessary insanity, I guess...but we're having fun! Um...so long as you don't ask us at 5:30am. Haha!
Any other ideas for making an extra buck out there?

Our other work: Darren's working hard at studying. Midterms were a little rough and a rude wake-up call...but he's hanging in there and working harder than ever. This week I made some microwave pizzas for lunches. I just made up a bunch of dough, baked the crusts so they were done and would just need to be heated through. After they were topped with Hawaiian fixin's (Darren's fave), they got wrapped and tossed in the freezer. And they've already been handy to have on hand.

Our play: Darren finished his nifty bike..."finished" being relative: the colour/decor will likely change in the future as it's his continually creative outlet-project. But for now, it's complete. Check out the results on his projects blog. I've been trying my hand at making little headbands for Renae and also recently bought a pair of new jeans: desperately needed...and now they're my "big news". Wa-hoo!

And then there's Renae: She just went through a huge growth spurt...as evidenced by middle of the night feedings for a week and a half (yuck.)...and the fact that she can touch the floor in her exer-saucer. And also that she's grown out of the half of her sleepers I was trying to keep her in as long as possible...lol. It all happened so fast! Big news:....(drumroll, please)..... she finally has successfully eaten a full meal from a bottle! She'll still nurse, of course....but it's nice to know that she can eat from a bottle if she needs to.

Whew. Sorry about all that. This is the Roberts Family, signing off with more info than you needed to know about our lives lately!

Haha. Love your guts. Every last one of you.

I don't know if the company is out in Saskatoon but it is worth a try. I did mystery shopping with a company called Performalogics. http://www.performalogics.com/. They are legit and you do get paid. Their website says they are taking applications.
